If you are under age 18 when you receive your license, you will be issued a Junior Operator License. Certain restrictions apply to Junior Operators. You may not operate a motor vehicle between 12:30am-5am. You may not operate a motor vehicle within the first 6 months after receiving your JOL while any person UNDER AGE 18 is in the vehicle (other than you and/or an immediate family member), unless you are accompanied by a person who is at least 21 years old, has at least 1 year of driving experience, holds a valid driver's license from his/her state, and is occupying a seat beside you. Note: This restriction is lifted once you complete the 6 month period, or you reach age 18, whichever occurs first.

The Registry of Motor Vehicles mandates that a parent or guardian attend a special 2 hour session. This Parent Class will provide insight into what your child is learning in Driver's Education and explain the current laws. We will also explain how parents can reinforce what their children are learning as well as how they can be positive role models behind the wheel themselves. Parent classes are valid for five (5) years. Only one parent is required to attend a parent class.

This course is a combination of academic & on-road driving lessons. The cost of the classroom portion is $350, and the on-road driving instruction portion is $350, for a total cost of $700. Classes need to be paid for by the Friday prior to the session beginning. Classroom sessions are held each month beginning on the first Monday of each month (unless stated otherwise) using the Zoom platform online.
